ABOUT THE JOURNAL

Knowledge for
the work in front of you.

Welding Devices is an informative journal about welding equipment, processes, materials and technology. It is built for readers who want to understand the reasons behind a choice.

How the guides are written

Each guide focuses on one practical question. Technical claims draw on primary sources, and the article links to those sources for further reading. Workshop examples are illustrative scenarios designed to make the considerations easier to understand.

Research findings, general process education and a manufacturer’s description of its own product are treated differently. Product capabilities are identified as manufacturer-described unless independent testing is provided. We do not imply that equipment has been tested by this publication.

How machines are selected

The 500-model catalogue covers budget, home workshop and professional power sources. It is an editorial selection rather than a measured performance ranking. Separate accessory kits, colour options and plug-only packages are not counted as extra machines.

Prices retain their original currency, market and tax basis. A manufacturer suggested price is labelled separately from a store offer. Unknown prices and specifications remain unrecorded. Budget ceilings filter recorded prices within one currency, without exchange-rate conversion. Shared series photographs are labelled on the model page.

Where explanation ends

A guide can explain why a process is useful. It cannot establish a suitable welding procedure from a few general inputs. The material grade, joint design, equipment, service conditions and acceptance requirements determine the actual work.

Keeping information useful

Articles show an update date. Sources should be rechecked when content changes, especially product specifications and safety requirements. Updates can be made through the website’s editorial dashboard.
